Our Mission
The East Berlin Community Singers, under the direction of Mrs. Jane Johnston, was founded in 2015 when the colonial town of East Berlin celebrated its 250th anniversary. It became our mission to sing for the enjoyment of choral singing and for the audience to experience our wide variety of repertoire. Choral programs that we perform consist of sacred and secular texts, acapella, and accompanied music. Many programs have featured guest musicians to accompany the singers. The stage is often shared with groups such as the Keystone Brass Quintet, the Flute Flock, and the Bermudian Springs Eagle Singers to name a few. The Singers have also sung at various venues such as Historic Rock Chapel, Relay for Life, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, the 80th anniversary of D-Day, and the Madeleine Church in Paris.
The “home” venue for the EBCS is Paradise Lutheran Church, Thomasville, PA, where they give an annual spring concert on the third Sunday of May. This concert is free and always open to the public.
